Gere McClellan
I have dedicated my life to the craft of writing, primarily as an award-winning newspaper journalist and columnist. You may know me as Gere Goble, former editor of the Mansfield News Journal and reporter for the Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum. But for my creative writing, I use my maiden name.
II wrote a lot of short fiction and had a few stories published in the 1990s — before I became a mom. In the early part of the millennium, I wrote a popular “Drat It” column for what was then the Media Network of Central Ohio
It took me more than 20 years to get back to writing fiction. When I finally did, I wrote a 126,000-word novel in less than two months. It was so much fun, I decided to write another. A third is in the works. When I’m not writing or working as a newspaper journalist, I read, make jewelry, walk the dog and do mom stuff
